Flight in Metropolis >This is a simple question I ask to the list. >How do you consider flying in this world of Illusion ? > >About 100 years ago (but you know what time is...), 'men' have invented the >plane. Can't we consider this ability differently ? >I mean that rather than understanding it as a physical process (THIS is >Illusion), there can be a 'kultish' explanation behind it. Kultish explanations of flight? Okay, how about being transported around the Illusion in the belly of a foul beast; I'll leave it to your imagination why airline food is so terrible (the Illusion is powerful but not THAT powerful). Or...there are no airplanes AT ALL. We're relearning our powers of flight as we knew them in metropolis (actually, we probably teleported but we have to take these things one step at a time). Some people are terrified of flight--maybe they realize what they're doing, or they're throwback to earlier generations of less-Awakened humans. >What will you find if you travel in space ? Is the Illusion infinite ? I >know that distance is only a part of our minds' prison, but couldn't we >find something more ? You'll find...infinity. Little bits and pieces of the detrius and flotsam left over after the Creation, but nothing more. Welll...maybe something really BIG is hiding out there, but God made space so hostile (what with the vacuum and hard radiation and all) that we won't find it. Until we're ready. Anyone else thinking about 2001?
