Eggdrop v1.6.7 Cygwin binary (Win95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP)
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Installation steps:
1. |
Edit resolv.conf and change "192.168.0.1"
to the IP address of your primary DNS server. |
Tip: To
find out the IP address of your primary DNS server, connect to internet (If not online) and
do the following: |

Tip: If you use a DNS forwarder like Winroute or Wingate, enter it's IP address instead |

Edit the config file, according to your knowledge
choose: |
Tip: If your internet connection is behind a firewall then make sure you use the eggdrop.complete.conf config file | |
Tip: Don't use any \ / : * ? " < > | characters for the userfile, chanfile, nick and notefile settings in config file | |
3. |
Copy the config file and rename it to "eggdrop.conf" |
Tip: Make sure all file extensions are been shown in Windows Explorer. To check open Windows Explorer, go to Tools menu, choose Folder Options, select View tab and make sure the box next to Hide file extensions for known file types is empty (Not ticked). | |
4. |
Open Command Prompt or MS-DOS Prompt |
5. |
Once a userfile has been created you can run eggdrop simply by executing "eggdrop.exe" |

Tip: Edit BotChk.bat and use it for starting eggdrop |
