The Devil's Own

Chapter 2

Present day

It had already been five months since the botched mission and Weiss

was trying to get their life back in order. They weren't taking many

missions just enough to get some bread on the table. Blood money,

how

ironic. Omi was starting his first year in college while Ken

retained

a job as a soccer coach. Aya was taking some mail college courses

while Yohji in his spare time did some PI work. This basically meant

the Aya spent most of the day alone in the house.

Sometimes when Yohji came back he would notice weird Aya's weird

moods. Sometimes he was extremely nice to all of them, even would

cook dinner and then he would just be miserable, not talking to

anyone. Yohji started to notice that this usually happened if Aya

saw a girl that reminded him of his sister. Poor guy. Yohji had tried

to get him to loosen up, even dragged him to a club, however, that had

been a disaster. Aya had only gotten drunk again and started a

fight.

How ironic, now Aya was the one who constantly got drunk and got

beat

up. Yohji had told him that the next day but Aya had only ignored

him. Aya's indifference toward him made him ache, not physical pain

but more like someone had hit him on his chest. That's about the

time he noticed that he liked watching Aya. He knew all of Aya's little

quirks. Like when he was concentrating on something how he wet his

lips and started twisting right left ear tail with his left index

finger, or how he liked his tea with exactly two teaspoons of sugar,

or how when eating a burger he always opened it and stared at it for

a few seconds and then would cut it in half before biting into it.

Little things like that. He would also see that Aya was not

indifferent to everything, as he liked the world to think. One time

he caught Aya feeding a cat and laughing at it, not smiling laughing.

There was actual joy in his eyes as he fed the kitty and the kitty

licked what was left of the food from Aya's fingers. The picture had

touched him deeply; Aya caught him staring and smiled at him briefly

before turning and going inside the house again. At that moment

Yohji realized how much Aya's moods affected him also. That brief smile

had touched him to the core and made him want Aya in a not so friendly

way. That had been two months ago, since that time Yohji had started

waking up to very vivid dreams involving him and Aya. Aya doing some

things that Yohji was sure Aya would kill him for simply thinking

them.

He loved Aya, lusted after him, wanted him, and the red head baka had

no idea. A pounding on his door brought him out of his lustful ideas.

"Yeah?" he asked not wanting to get up.

"Yohji get up!" screamed Ken from the opposite side of his door.

Yohji sighed and rubbed his palms across his eyes trying to wake up.

The banging continued and he knew it would continue until he opened

the door.

"You are a pest you know that?" asked Yohji frustrated from Ken.

Ken smiled and said, " You know me. Breakfast is ready and if you

don't come down right now, don't complain later."

"You know that I hate you, don't you?" said Yohji stifling a yawn and

scratching his head.

"I know, but I love you Yohji," said Ken smiling sweetly and batting

his eyelashes in a mockery of his dates.

"Baka," said Yohji pushing him from the door and padding to the

bathroom to relieve himself.

After he that he stared at himself in the mirror, he looked tired.

That's what partying all night in a club will do to you, he thought.

"Damn, it," he muttered. He had no work to do today which meant that

he either had to go out or have to stay with Aya all day. Aya

usually was not very good company, oh well.

" Good morning kittens," said Yohji smiling.

"You know I hate it when you say that," said Aya not looking up from

the newspaper he was reading.

"I know," said Yohji grinning, glad that someone was also suffering

because they were awake.

Omi came up to Yohji and said quietly, " Don't be too loud, it seems

Aya has another hangover."

"Again?" asked Yohji becoming worried.

" Yohji, this is getting out of hand, we have to talk to him," said

Omi quietly.

"Don't worry kiddo, I will talk to him while you are at school ok?"

said Yohji smiling at Omi

" What the hell are you guys mumbling about? " asked Ken exasperated.

"You," said Yohji, " Omi was asking me if you ever get laid?"

Ken just shot him a glare and ignored him.

After breakfast Omi and Ken left the house leaving Yohji and Aya

alone. Yohji was trying to figure out how to approach the subject of

the drinking but didn't want to start a fight. Then Aya interrupted

his thought," Just come out and say it already."

" Um, well its about your drinking," said Yohji looking at Aya

sheepishly.

" What about it?" said Aya crossing is arms over his chest.

"Well we think it's getting out of hand," said Yohji quietly, " If

you don't stop it will get as bad as mine."

Aya flinched a little at that comment and said so quietly that Yohji

thought he had imagined it, "I can't."

"What?" asked Yohji not sure he heard right.

" I can't," said Aya raising his head to glare at Yohji, " I can't

stop or it will hurt too much."

"Aya." said Yohji looking at Aya with pity. Aya interpreting

what he was thinking became angry and said; " I don't need your pity, besides

I am okay as I am right now."

"But, Aya you just said you can't stop. You keep contradicting

yourself," said Yohji staring at him, " You have no idea what you are

doing do you?"

Aya avoided his eyes and said nothing simply staring at the ground.

Yohji felt so much love for this man, but Aya didn't know. Maybe he

was drinking because he thought no one cared for him. Well that is

the reason why he did it.

Yohji caressed Aya's jaw making Aya raise his head and stare at him

wide eyed. Yohji just looked at him as if nothing happened.

" Aya, there are people who care about you, you shouldn't give up so

easily," and then he leaned down and planted a feathery kiss on Aya's

lips before turning around and going to his room. He didn't see how

Aya just stared at his retreating back wide eyed, a hand coming to

touch his lips.

Yohji reached his room and let out the breath he had been holding in.

He turned and locked his door in case Aya decided to kill him. It

was funny how that little kiss seemed to make his whole day look

brighter. He walked to the mirror in his wall and stared at himself

and was surprised to find himself blushing. He brought up a hand to

touch his cheeks and let it drift to his lips. He was now sure, he

ached for Aya, wanted him badly. Yet, he couldn't force Aya to care

for him. It was a pure miracle that Aya hadn't killed him on the

spot but he guessed Aya was also surprised at his behavior. He himself

was surprised at his behavior. A quiet knock made him turn to his door.

[Damn]

He walked and opened the door to find Aya looking at him very

confused. Yohji just stood there watching him; fascinated by the

amount of emotions he could see through Aya's eyes.

"Um, why.why did you do that?" asked Aya looking at him.

Yohji didn't know what to say, that he loved him, wanted him, and

that kissing was the only way he could show his feelings. He was scared,

he wanted to laugh it off, but seeing Aya so open and vulnerable made

him think twice. If he lied right now Aya would hate him forever for it.

"Because I love you, I want you so bad I ache," said Yohji quietly.

Aya's eyes widened at this and he seemed at a loss as to what to do.

Hell, he was also at a loss. So he laughed. Raising his hand to

scratch his head he said, " I'm sorry if I scared you but I thought

you wanted the truth."

Aya simply nodded and turned to leave but Yohji caught his arm and

kissed him. When he didn't feel Aya move he sought to deepen the

kiss urging Aya to open his lips for him. Aya complied. When his tongue

entered Aya's mouth he felt the blood rush out of his head and settle

below his waist, one area specifically. He lost control and started

kissing Aya fervently, trying to get as much from Aya as he could.

He heard a moan escape Aya's throat and it only served to add more coal

to the fire that was already raging inside him. He started easing

Aya into his room and started to lower him into the bed. He didn't break

their kiss as he started undoing the buttons of Aya's shirt. He

shifted his focus to Aya's throat sucking and biting trying to leave

a mark. Aya moaned at the pleasure of it. However, when he reached

down to unbuckle Aya's pants, Aya stopped him.

"I-I can't," said Aya pushing him off him to get up.

"What?" asked Yohji more frustrated by the tightness of his pants.

"I can't do this, I-I'm." but he didn't finish just turning and

leaving the room.

Yohji just sat there wondering what the hell had just happened and

just how close he had been to getting what he yearned for.

"Damn it," he said, and he flung himself on his bed putting an arm to

cover his eyes from the sun's glare.

The next day when he entered the kitchen Aya hadn't even turned to

look at him. When Omi and Ken left the house, he tried to kiss Aya

again but Aya had looked at him with cold eyes and told him that if

he ever touched him again he would cut his hands off. Aya thought Yohji

was just trying to get into his pants, which was not very far from

the truth. Not that Yohji believed that Aya would actually do it, but he

feared that Aya would attack him and he wanted no more problems. And

yet, he still lusted after Aya, now more than ever. When Aya kissed

him, Yohji was able to see how good it would be but now Aya had taken

that privilege from him. He was no longer allowed to taste, which

was making him incredibly uptight. He needed to get laid or by the end

of the week even Omi was going to try to kill him. So that night he

decided to go out clubbing and get some. He looked at his reflection

in the mirror, skintight red leather pants, blank tank top covered by

a long sleeve see threw t-shit. [This should do the trick] He put

on a black leather trench coat, his sunglasses and left his room. When

he was coming down the stairs Omi smiled at him.

Ken rolled his eyes and said," I was wondering when you were going to

go out. If you run into Aya make sure he doesn't drink himself into

stupor."

He smiled and asked," What makes you think I am going to run into

him?"

Ken shrugged and said," I don't know, he is acting more like you

lately that maybe he also went to get laid." Omi smiled at this, but

Yohji didn't like the idea of Aya sleeping around.

"Sure, I will give him the message mother," said Yohji walking out of

the house.

Ken simply gave him the finger and returned to read the soccer

magazine on his lap.

Coming out of the house Yohji had a sense of anticipation of what the

night had to offer. He would go to his favorite bar and visit one of

the girls. More than likely he would wake up in her bed and feel

satiated. He smiled at this [then that crazy obsession I have with

Aya will fade away].

He entered the bar and was greeted by the smells of cigarette smoke,

alcohol, various perfumes.

"Hello Yohji," said a girl who was dressed all in leather and every

inch of her looked legal as Yohji liked to call it.

"Hello Star," said Yohji putting on his most winning smile.

"It is so good of you to come and visit my humble abode," said Star

thrusting her chest closer to Yohji. It gave him a promise of

forgetting his problems and lustful pleasure.

"I'm sorry, I was detained," said Yohji putting an arm around Star's

slim waist.

"Whew, you should have seen a while ago how this place was. Some

dude got it into his head to hit on one guy he thought was a chick," said

Star smiling while her eyes shone with the excitement of relieving

the moment.

Yohji couldn't help but laugh. "Poor guy, I bet he got what he

deserved."

"That's just it, I thought maybe the dude got mad because he was

straight and all, but after the brawl he left with another guy," this

last Star said starting to laugh hysterically.

"Mmm, forget the fight. Can we go somewhere more private?" purred

Yohji in Star's ear.

"Tch, tch, Yohji never wasting time," said Star smiling

flirtatiously,

" You know the place."

Yohji returned to his apartment feeling refreshed. He had spent a

night with Star who was very entertaining in bed. Entering the

kitchen he saw Omi and Ken look up at him and sigh like they were

expecting somebody else.

"Whoa guys don't be too glad to see me," said Yohji a little bit

annoyed.

"Aya is not here yet," said Ken who looked angry to say the least.

"Yohji, I'm worried. What if something happened to him and we don't

know?" said Omi nervously. He was twisting a napkin in his hands to

keep himself from jumping around the house.

Yohji was worried. Even though Aya got drunk on a constant basis, he

always arrived at night. However, like if they had willed him, Aya

came stumbling through the door and stopped short in the kitchen.

Like if he had been caught doing something he shouldn't.

"Where were you?" said Ken gripping Aya by his coat collar. Aya

pushed him away and they stared each other down.

"Guys, guys, don't start this. It's way too early," said Yohji

trying

to calm them down. He searched his pockets for a cigarette.

"Where were you? We were worried," said Ken more calm this time.

Aya looked at him and smiled. He said," I got into a fight, got the

crap beaten out of me."

"You look okay," said Omi looking Aya over.

"I'm fine," Aya said shortly and left the kitchen to go to his room.

"That was weird," said Yohji smiling with his cigarette on his lips.

Ken only glared at him and starting raiding the fridge for something

to eat.

"Go change, you are not eating like that," snapped Ken.

"Yes mother," said Yohji laughing at Ken because he hated it.
