Inner Trinity (7/?)
By Max Ikari

<What the fuck was I thinking?> thought Aya angrily as he turned on the shower faucet trying to get it warm.
Well I wasn’t thinking, he thought bitterly, “Damn it!”  Entering the shower he started scrubbing himself in an attempt to clean
himself of the feelings Yohji had evoked from him.  He had liked it, which bothered him.  It bothered him that he let himself
be taken by Yohji that easily.  Aya knew this would change everything between them.
/You spread your legs for him like a cheap whore/
Aya thought bitterly about the thought that came to his head all of a sudden. <Like a whore, like one of Yohji’s many bed
partners. >  It made him want to pull his hair out.
Getting out he walked to the mirror and looked at his reflection.  His lips were still al little swollen from Yohji’s kissing.
/You kissed him too. . ./
“Shit, shit, damn it,” whispered Aya starting to brush his teeth.  He had to get rid of everything, had to cleanse himself.
/It doesn’t matter you already are his whore, did you think he would appreciate you more? I bet he will try to avoid you as
much as possible/
/Stop it! Leave him alone/
/Aya don’t get mad, I like Yohji he is a nice guy/
But Aya wasn’t noticing the battle that was going on in his mind.  He was too wrapped up trying to come to terms with this.
<I can’t deal with this, I---I can’t. . .,> and he dropped his eyes from the mirror and only watching the water run.
/It’s okay, you should go sleep, get some rest, leave everything to me/
“Please take care of it,” whispered Aya and he went to sleep.

Yohji was in his room staring at the ceiling smoking a cigarette.
<It’s your fault, you know how messed up Aya is>
<I shouldn’t have done it, damn my hormones>
He snickered at this, thinking maybe Aya had fled in an attack of skittiness.  <Everything will work out, just have to give him
some time>
“Yes, some time,” said Yohji to the room at loud and put out his cigarette and went to sleep.

Aya turned off the water faucet and finished brushing his teeth.  Entering his room he proceeded to pick up all the mess.
“Damn you guys are messy,” said Aya out loud
/Sorry, guess got carried away/
/Ryo always misbehaves/
“I know,” said Aya and kept on picking up the room.
/Will Aya be ok? /
/No dope, he just slept with a guy, just discovered his sexuality, haha/
/What is that? /
/Let me tell you the story of flowers and bees/
“Stop it Ryo, Ran you should go to sleep ok?” said Aya
/Ok/
/I want to go out, you go to bed and let me go out/
“Ryo you know I won’t let you, you already made a mess as it is,” said Aya
/No fun at all, you are more tight assed than Aya/
He just smiled.

Loud banging on his door.  “ Yohji get your lazy butt out of bed!”
Yohji groaned when he heard Ken’s customary wake up call.  He dragged himself out of bed and opened the door.
“Why can’ you wake me up nicely?” asked Yohji bitterly.
“Good morning to you to sunshine,” said Ken smiling sarcastically.  “Aya and Omi are going to class today so you should
already be up.”
“Aya is going to class? I thought he had already dropped out,” said Yohji seriously.
“Well I guess he didn’t, he has been up since 5am, and then you call me crazy, yeah,” said Ken smiling at Yohji.
“Ken! Breakfast is ready!,” screamed Omi
“Ok!,” yelled Ken
“Damn it, do you have to be so loud, it’s, what time is it?” said Yohji frustrated.
“7am, I guess the princess gets grouchy if woken up early,” said Ken bounding down the stairs.
“Bite me,” said Yohji, he knew Ken enjoyed waking him up, maybe he even begged for the privilege to make his mornings
hell.

“Good morning Yohji-kun,” said Omi when Yohji finally managed to get downstairs.
“Morning,” said Yohji obviously grumpy.
Ken smiled at Yohji in a kind of satisfaction.  Yohji turned to see Aya and surprised to see Aya smile at him.  However, there
was something wrong, Aya didn’t seem to be Aya, his features were more relaxed making seem more open than he usually is.
“Do you want some tea?” asked Ken, “ Aya made it.”
“Got coffee?” asked Yohji turning around the kitchen to look for some.
“There is some in front of you,” said Aya picking up his teacup.
Yohji stared back at him; Aya’s voice was huskier, quieter.  The words did not seem forced like it always seems when you
are talking to him.
Aya raised an eyebrow at him, he was staring at Aya and everybody was watching him.
“Wh—where?” asked Yohji getting embarrassed at being caught staring.
“In front of you baka,” said Ken picking up his rice and eating from it.
“I am done so I will be going,” said Omi picking up his plates and washing them.
“Me too,” said Ken, “ I will be back around three today.”
Picking up their coats and bags they left.  Yohji stared out the door they had just left from before looking at Aya.  Aya was
calmly eating from his rice bowl.  Suddenly he put his bowl in the table and the chopsticks and stared at Yohji.
“Well?” said Aya lifting an eyebrow.
Of all the reactions Yohji did not expect this one.
“A—Aya?” said Yohji obviously confused.
Aya smiled at this and said, “ I would have thought that by now you knew that I am not Aya.”
“Who are you?” said Yohji
“Gendo is my name,” said Aya still smiling.  There was something about him that even though he was smiling made you think
that he was very dangerous.  Not crazy dangerous, but a calculating mind, somebody you didn’t want to mess with.
“Ok,” said Yohji staring at the mug in his hands trying to make sense of everything.
“I know you slept with Aya knowing his problems, I don’t appreciate that,” said Gendo seriously, “ Aya is my responsibility
and I will not allow him to get hurt so I would appreciate it if you kept your distance.”
Yohji looked up at Aya seeing the coldness in his eyes but there was a slight smirk on his lips.
“But, but. . .” tried to say Yohji but his voice left him.
“ Are you now going to say you love him?” said Aya amused.
“ I don’t know,” said Yohji getting angry with Aya for being amused at the situation.
“Well, I know what is best for Aya and it is not you,” said Aya quietly, “ Now if you excuse me I have classes to attend.”
Yohji stared after Aya and when he saw Aya was leaving he said, “ Where is Aya?”
“ Sleeping,” said Aya smiling before leaving.
Yohji seemed to process this and dropped his head in his hands muttering curses.

Yohji spent most of the day staring at the television and smoking.  He couldn’t concentrate.  When he went out to get some
dinner, he noticed his thoughts constantly drifting back to the red head.  He then decided that he had to do something.
However, even though it was hard for him to admit it, he feared Gendo.  Gendo was one of those personalities that could kill
with a smile on his face.  The ultimate moralist, and he had already gotten in his bad graces.  Gendo wanted him away from
Aya; maybe he was the stronger personality.  Ryo and Ran were not as strong as Gendo.  Ryo of course was dangerous in that
his temper was uncontrollable, but you did not sense that he was calculating and planning when he watched you.  Ran was
just a little kid, and Aya, Aya had retreated.  Had put all his trust on Gendo, however, he really doubted Aya knew he was
walking around all Tokyo.  <I bet he thinks he is asleep> <I won’t think about it anymore it’s giving me a headache> and he
put his fingers to the bridge of his nose to ease the pain.
Arriving at their house he noticed that Ken’s bike was already in the garage.  Entering the kitchen he saw Ken talking to Aya
in the kitchen.
“Oh, Yohji we thought you had gone out,” said Ken, “went to visit one of your girlfriends?”
“Actually I went to get dinner,” said Yohji dropping the bag on the counter.
“Yohji, you are my saviour, I am starving,” said Ken.
“Where’s Omi?” asked Yohji
“Upstairs, he is changing,” said Aya “ Do any of you guys what some tea? or did you get some?” asked Aya turning to see
Yohji.
It’s still Gendo thought Yohji bitterly.  “I got some,” snapped Yohji, “I need a cigarette.”
Walking out the door, he stood in the back alley turning a cigarette on and starting to smoke.
“Can I join you?” asked Aya smiling.
“Aya? Sure,” said Yohji nervously.
“ You are bothered by me,” said Aya looking out into the street.
“Yeah, all this shit is too poltergeist for me,” said Yohji passing a hand through his hair.
“ I won’t hurt you if you don’t do anything,” said Aya turning to see Yohji.
“Thanks,” said Yohji sarcastically.
“You are angry, I see,” said Aya turning his eyes again toward the street.
“ You see what? Of course I am fucking angry!,” said Yohji crushing the cigarette with his fist.
“ I am sorry to hear that, you shouldn’t get angry, you will thank me in the long run,” said Aya.
“Thank you?” asked Yohji incredulously, “ you act like a mother telling me what to do and what I shouldn’t, no thanks. Hn.”
At this Aya laughed and said, “ Yohji you are too dramatic, besides Aya is confused by you.  If he had accepted you I
wouldn’t be here, now would I?”
Yohji just stared at Aya and dared to ask, “ Does Aya know you guys exist?”
“Heavens no,” snorted Aya finding it amusing, “ Ryo, Ran, and I, know we exist the only one that doesn’t know is Aya.  He
suspects, but you know his denial.” Aya said this last as if they were talking about a kid that constantly sneaks off with
cookies when he shouldn’t.
“ What do I do?” asked Yohji quietly.
“That’s not for me to say, and you to figure out,” said Aya, “ besides dinner is served and it is bad manners to keep people
waiting, come on.”
Yohji put his hands in his pockets and followed Aya to eat dinner, wondering why the hell he was so calm after spending the
past ten minutes talking to a creation of Aya.
