Iconomy.com Inks Agreement
with GoToWorld for 'Get Paid to Shop Program'

Iconomy Embeds Products for Sale into All Pages of GoToWorld's Web Portal

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 1999--Iconomy.com, the leading provider of private-label Internet commerce solutions, today announced it has added GoToWorld.com, owner of the Internet's fastest-growing search portal and recently named one of the top 50 most visited properties on the Web, to its growing roster of private-label clients. Under this agreement, Iconomy will establish a complete e-commerce solution for GoToWorld throughout its portal and within its proprietary browser that enables users to get paid for surfing and shopping the Internet. Iconomy will place a product on every page of the GoToWorld site, driving GoToWorld's revenues through its fully embedded shopping solution. Additionally, GoToWorld will incorporate a permanent link into its proprietary web browser, which will drive traffic to targeted product promotions.

This is the second, new Iconomy client to implement Iconomy's fully embedded shopping solution and completely integrate e-commerce with site content. Iconomy's large vendor network and scalable technology make it easier than ever for sites like GoToWorld to compete in the hyper-competitive, e-commerce marketplace.

Iconomy's fully embedded shopping solutions provide all elements necessary for a complete outsourced solution, including fully integrated design and navigation, universal shopping cart, account integration, targeted merchandising, integrated points and rewards programs, as well as Iconomy's order fulfillment, secure credit card processing, customer services and valuable reporting capabilities. Iconomy's alliance with GoToWorld is an exciting new example of the many ways in which Iconomy can tailor shopping solutions for its clients. By embedding targeted promotions directly into site content and integrating with GoToWorld's environment, Iconomy illustrates how it can develop solutions for several types of Internet business models.

The GoToWorld relationship benefits the consumer by offering a convenient way to purchase goods and services online, and benefits GoToWorld.com by increasing site revenue and ``site stickiness.'' In addition to offering products for sale, GoToWorld.com is also offering rebates to its members for all products purchased at the site. Members will receive cash rebates on all of their purchases, as well as the purchases of their referrals, adding extra incentive to refer new members to GoToWorld.com. The rebates may be redeemed for cash or may be used towards the purchase of other products from GoToWorld.com.

``We are thrilled to be able to offer our audience products and services, relevant to their every day lives online through our super portal,'' said Ian Simpson, CEO of GoToWorld.com. ``This new partnership will enable us to provide an innovative new e-commerce service to our members. This rebate program is a revolution and will transform the future of E-commerce. We are excited about being the avant-garde of this sweeping new Internet revolution.''

Iconomy's fully embedded shopping solutions enable product promotions to be directly embedded into GoToWorld's Web pages using Iconomy's Sprockets(TM) merchandising technology. This technology makes it easy for sites to embed individual products and multi-product stores within specific areas of their content. Consumers using the GoToWorld site to surf the 'Net can now make purchases relevant to the site's content without abandoning the site. For example, if a web page is dedicated to action video games, visitors might be able to purchase a specific action video game without having to leave the site.

``We are excited to announce our alliance with GoToWorld.com,'' said Aaron Day, president and CEO of Iconomy.com. ``GoToWorld provides us an excellent opportunity to develop a complete Internet shopping solution with targeted merchandise on a mass scale.''
