Local overprints
Here are two examples of Tajik local overprints:
In this case, the overprint shows the cyrillic word for
'Tajikistan' above, 1995 in the middle, and the value at the
bottom. This stamp has been issued for the city of Khujand.
On the same USSR stamp, an inverted overprint shows the name of
the town of Khorog, the value, the date: 26th of may 1995 and the
cyrillic word for 'Tajikistan'.
