Opuwo cancellation + namibian logo
Yes, I know, this title isn't very very good. But... Sometimes my pages just aim to show you items of my collection. Sometimes, I have nothing very particular to write about the stamps. So, it's once again just for the pleasure of your eyes !
But this page can catch your collector' s attention on one fact: sometimes, rhinoceros can be found on stamps or around stamps even if the main picture isn' t a rhinoceros (remember the Korea stamp displayed on page 21 or what I had written about the Estonian block, at the last line of the page 7).

By clicking on this stamp, see the sheetlet out of which it is.

Indeed, the logo is the interesting
part: the NNF logo on this stamp shows an elephant and
rhinoceros. There are 3 other (non-rhino) stamps in this series
with the same logo. These stamps can be found in sheets or in a
block which has very nicely illustrated margins.

The Opuwo cancellation is another example again:

This rhino stamp is out of a 1980 series of 17 stamps. (Note that this current series has had other stamps added during the following years). But what interests us here is that a first day cancellation shows a rhino, so you can imagine how many philatelic items you can have with a rhino !!!
