The 2001 RSA rhino
The 2001 RSA rhino is out of a series of 5 stamps, whose designs are "The big five" (The elephant, the rhino, the buffalo, the lion and the cheetah). It is the second "Big five"-series of South-Africa, but in the former series (in 1996), the rhino was a white one. This time, it's a black rhino. As last time, the stamps have a postcard rate value.
The postcard rate value was 1,90 RSA Rand, but is now worth 2,20 RSA Rand since the 14th of may, 2001.

This stamp can be found in a marvellous booklet, which includes texts about the five animals, but also 2 complete series and 2 prepaid postcards - one with the cheetah stamp, and one with the elephant stamp.
We note the existence of an illustrated cover whose design shows this stamp with a value of 2,10 Rands:

______________
At last, have a look: this series has been issued on the 25th of april 2001, in Skukuza, city where had been issued the 1976 series with another South-African rhino-stamp.
