A cancellation from Basel (Switzerland)

Basel is a town of Switzerland that has its zoo. I have been told that it was famous for breeding Indian unicorn rhinos. A cancellation exists with this animal:

BRIEFVERSAND on the cancellation

On its body is designed the "Basel's baton", which represents both the flag of the city of Basel, but also the flag of the canton of Basel.

This cancellation has been used since the 14th of january 1970 and is still used nowadays, in 2002. At its first issue, its size was 40mm x 20mm. Since the 1st of october 1980, this size has shrinked to 33,5mm x 16,5mm.

The circle stempel can have at least 4 different types for the 1970 version, and at least 2 different types for the 1980 version:

1970 version:

4000 BASEL 1 / ***
4000 BASEL 1 / Annahme
4001 BASEL 1 / ***
4000 BASEL 2 / Briefversand

1980 version:

4000 BASEL 2 / Briefversand
4000 BASEL 2 / Briefzentrum

BRIEFZENTRUM on the cancellation
(Here is the 1980 version of the 'Briefzentrum' cancellation - First picture was with the 1980 version of the 'Briefversand' cancellation)

Now, here is the 1970 version of the BASEL 2 cancellation (postal stationnery posted on the 6th of may 1974):

And here is a BASEL 1 / *** (one of the three stars can be seen on the neck of the horse) dated 2 may 1971:

An illustrated card has been issued for the 100th anniversary of the zoo of Basel, in 1974. On the preprinted stamp, we can see a rhino (upper left corner). The other side of the postcard is the same design, but green is its main color:
