web-site. Could you do the same, please ? Done today !!!
21/12/2000 - From Carlos (Mexico)
e-mail: Carlos.Armendariz@jci.com
This is Carlos Armendariz in Mexico. Today I stumbled upon your
magnificent web page and I could not believe my eyes. I totally
loved it ! It is very interesting and informative and you have
displayed it in a very appealing way. I had been looking for
something like that for months ! I really hope we can get in
touch, since we have the same interests. I also collect Rhino
stamps as well and philatelic and numismatic material related to
them. I have been collecting rhino stamps for five years. I
collect mostly mint stamps, but I do have used stamps while I get
the mint version. I have many stamps that are not in your web
page, as well as maxicards and banknotes. (...) I would like to
have a web page that includes all Rhino stamps issued in the
world. I see that you have already started it, so now why don't
you try to complete all issues? I do not have a scan, and not
even in my wildest dream would I be able to create a web page,
not even a modest one, much less something as extraordinary as
you have created. Pity I only display the items that are
mines, in my collection. But I would also like to find such a
site with every rhino issues !!!
Two little comments: On page five, you say that rhinos are to be
found in Africa, Asia and Oceania. Well, this is unaccurate.
Nowadays, rhinos live only in Africa (The white Ceratotherium
simum, and the black, Diceros bicornis) and in Asia (mainly India
and Indonesia), where we have the other three species (the
Indian, Rhinoceros indicus, the Javan, Rhinoceros sondaicus, and
the Sumatran, Didremocerus sumatraensis). As you can see, there
are no rhinos in Oceania, others than those in the Australian or
New-Zealand zoos ! Indeed, I have made the islands of
Indonesia part of Oceania, that's why. School's far behind
!!!
Then, going on with coincidences, I also collect one cover
addressed to me from every stamp issuing authority of the world.
In order to standardise my collection, I only use my own
self-addressed envelopes. That means, I first find a contact in a
given country, send him/her my envelope and ask to have it back
with as many stamps as possible.

e-mail: lowis@starhub.net.sg
It is a great site for the
Rhino's materials. My feedback: maybe you could make your index
more user friendly, by having them in alphabetical order rather
that the page number ? To find stamps from certain country,
I have to click from page 1 to last page...
Indeed, it is the problem of the left frame index
of the rhino or Asia pages. I will try to solve that in the
future by 'trying' another type of index.

I just wanted to make a correction. In the series of wolf stamps
in your website, the animal on your stamp is a fox, not a wolf.
But anyway, the info you're giving is very interesting.
Aaaargh ! Thank you, Ninjin, for this correction ! I'll
change this 8th Mongolia page as soon as possible ! (8th Mongolia
page deleted the 23/04/2000)
