Presentation and Organization of International Choir
Cardinal Emile BIAYENDA
Cardinal Emile BIAYENDA
In August 12th 1996, some young Congolese students
(Congo -Brazzaville) gathered under the supervision of Father Maurice
MILANDOU, in order to practice religious songs for the preparation of
the eucharistic celebration in the memory of the late Cardinal Emile
BIAYENDA (50 years old then), the first Cardinal of Congo and of
Central Africa who was assassinated on March 22th 1977 in Brazzaville.
Concerned about protecting and spreading the virtues for what
the Cardinal sacrificed his life, and developed by sister Brigitte
YENGO ( during a brief meeting ), they decided to settle themselves
inside a stable and well organized group : A CHOIR.
In this way, they held their first constitutive general
assembly on Sunday August 25th 1996 at the place of Ms Véronique
SABOUKOULOU BINDI (located at Gueule-Tapee, Rue 62 X 63, Dakar),
who brought them a great support.
Right now, the choir has more than thirty active members,
most students coming from different countries: Benin, Cameroon,

The Choir is governed by an Executive Bureau elected during the general
