*Gymkhana Golf Course.
TheChiangmai gymkhana Club is one of the oldest member clubs in Thailand, established in 1898 and located on a 101 rai piece of land with beautiful landscape, gardens and plenty of shade with big trees (some of which are more than 100 years old). TheChiangmai gymkhana Club is the only sports club in town.

*Santiburi Golf Course
This 18 hole par 72 course is set on low hills, with distant views of moustains. It is designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. A lovely place for bachelars, honeymooners and families alike.

*The Royal Chiang-Mai Golf Club A mountain retreat of serenity and harmony. A concept nurtured and developed under the careful supervision of 5 times British Open Champion, Peter Thompson of Thompson Wolveridge & Perrett company.

Waterford Valley Set in attractive rolling countryside, this enjoyable course was designed by Rathert International. There is a pleasant clubhouse, at which visitors are made to feel truly welcome.

*Bhumibol Yanhee EGAT Golf Course It is set in spectacular scenery, the original magnificent trees have been carefully preserved. It is fairly short (6065 yards from men's tees) but with plenty of variety and difficulty.

Chiang Rai Golf Course The ambiance in Chiang Rai is extremely relaxed, and the small clubhouse is full of merriment. This course doubles up as the town's recreational area.

Chalawan Pichit A Royal Thai Army-sponsored course far a way from normal tourist routes.

*Chiang Mai Golf and Country Club There is a pleasing valley setting for this picturesque 18-hole par 72 course deep in the countryside. Designed by Denis Grifiths, it makes
excellent use of the pretty terrain.

Dong Phu Kort Golf Course is a parkland type course with some well-established trees and shrubs, giving plenty of shade. The clubhouse is a more of a social club for the local Thai military, and has a friendly ambiance.

Erawan Park Golf Course This small a basic course was originally planned to attract residents to the Erawan Falls housing Development, but has become little more than a recreation ground for the residents.

General Arthit Kamlang-Ek Golf Club This rustic course exists in a supremely isolated position in teh arc between Thailand's borders with Burma (Myanmar) and Laos. It is not likely to see many tourists.

Kwan Pha Yao Golf Club Another of the Royal Thai Army's interesting nine-hole par 36 courses in remote areas of the country.

Lanna Golf Course Lovely old 18-hole par 72 course overlooking the race track, and with distant views of Chiang Mai's famed Doi Suthem temple. Owned and managed by the Royal Thai Army.

Mae Moh This pretty course is devided by a road, the park like course is flat on one side and sloping on the other. This causes the increases level of difficulties because many serveral blind shots have to be played.

*Mae Sah This residential course, designed for local, mainly military use, is in pleasant surroundings, but quite close to a couple of Chiang Mai's excellent new championship courses.

Masuek Another area where you are most unlikely to find any tourists. You could probably play all week on this isolated course without seeing another golfer.

Phadaeng Industries Golf Course The short nine-hole course is provided by the company as a facility for its employees. However, it is frequently opened for visitors to play.

Rung Saeng Golf Club The course, alongside the little-used airstrip, is fairly rustic, but strangers are given the warmest of welcomes. This is a good place from which to start a hill trek.

*Sirikit Dam Golf Course Another magnificent course run by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, who have created a parklike course, conserving a range of majestic trees, but creating verdant fairways between lily ponds and streams.

Sila At This is a State Railway of Thailand course, in this town which is off the main roads to the north, but has the railway passing through.

Takhli Wing 42 Golf Club It is a flattish course with a few trees and ponds, inside major airbase. A nice designed course, but mainly used by military personnel.

Uttaradit Golf Club This road leads on up to the huge Sirikit reservoir, where there is a lovely nine hole EGAT course.

Voyage Panorama Resort and Golf Club Set in pleasant rolling countryside in the heart of Thailand's dairy country, the course is often pleasantly breezy.

*The Country Club Khao Yai Designed by Jack Nicklaus, The Country Club Khao-Yai has fast
become known as one of Thailand's top golf courses. Set in a unique mountain environment it is the perfect golf haven in which to escape the rigorous of the corporate world.

*Mission Hill Khao Yai Golf Club The course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is set in a valley between sheer rocky Alpine-type peaks, and is tough but very enjoyable.

Khon Kaen Railway This basic course offers you very warmly welcomed though tourists are
hardly seen around.

Praphasri Praph On flattish terrain with serveral ponds, this course has quite funny local rule
on the eighth, which doglegs sharply around some buildings.

Prasert Songkran This is perhaps the archetypal northeastern city, being the center of an area of hard-working farmers. It has 9 holes par 36 course, mainly played by local and military personnels.

*Rook Korat Country Club This is the last course before the Isan proper begins, and a nice place to stay if you want to explore Khmer ruins such as Phimai.

Suranaree If you are looking for a quick round of golf, this excellent new course 9 holes par 36 would be your best place to visit.

Surin Golf Course A challenging but truly rustic course, occasional hazards include the moring
parade down the right side of the first fairway and special forces practising the capture of a grounded aeroplane to the right of the fifth fairway.

Ubolrat Dam Golf Course A riverside course, crossed by many streams and ditches, it is quite
challenging.

Udon Thani Golf Course One of the major station on the State Railway of Thailand's line to Loas. It is pratically use to benefit the employees of Railway Organisation, but still opened for visitors.

Bangsai Country Club The first design work of the Thai engineer, Pirapon Namatra. His belief
in giving the player as many different looks and challenges as possible results in the varying characters of the 18 holes at Bangsai Country Club.

**Dragon Hills Golf & Country Club The developers, recognizing the idyllic setting of the location, decided that Dragon Hills should have 3 international championship golf courses that would be the envy of all others. They approached the golfing legends Jack Nicklaus and Isao Aoki, and renowned architect Max Wexler, asking them to design exceptional courses.

**Nichigo paradise resort, constructed in harmony with the natural surroundings of Mountains , Lakes and the world - famous River Kwai, offers Thailand 's finest 27 - hole International Championship GolfCourse.

Palm Hill Golf Resort and Country Club The beautiful undulating landscape is surrounded by hill and is fanned by cool sea breezes. Designed as a world championship golf course, Burmuda grass has been planted throughout the project as have more than 40,000 assorted mature plams and trees.

*Royal Hills Golf Club Designed by world-renowned golf course architects Nelson & Wright of
Belt Collins & Associates, ROYAL HILLS combines the diverging philosophies behind competition and relaxation to assure a gratifying golf game for anyone who enters its domain.

The Royal Golf & Country Club, just 35 minutes from Bangkok's main business district, boasts one of Thailand longest golf courses. Designed by renowned Japanese Architect Mr. Chohei Miyazawa, this 18 holes, par 72, 7, 252 yards, offers a very unique golfing experience in the midst of a well-conserved natural setting.

Alpine Golf and Sport Club The spacious Clubhouse built in a Bavarian style invites you to relax and unwind after a strenuous game of golf.

**Barrington Saiyoke Sports Club Not riverside, but a triangular mountain provides an attractive backdrop for this 18-holes par 72 course by Gary Roger Baird, who is another of the great designers of courses which are kind to the novice butchallenging for the expert.

Dynasty Golf and Country Club 27-hole par 72/36 has been designed by Dennis Griffiths, surrounded by Khlong which are a quite remarkable shade of deep blue.

Grand Garden & Golf Club Not too much water on this pleasant 18-hole par 72 course by local
designers, set in a wide plain between rocky, scrub-civered gukks.

**Green Valley Country Club Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. This 18-hole par 72 course is
surrounded by potential housing development, mostly protected by canals.

Kiarti Thanee Country Club This 18-hole par 72 course is like all the courses in this neighborhood. It is designed by Oak Engineers, more difficult that it looks.

Kritsada City Golf Hills The total layout of the course is very smooth and logical. Not only is the scenery superb, but there is a large budget still available to maintain the course in top from tee to pin on every hole.

Lakewood Country Club This 27-hole par 72/36 course was designed by J. Michael Poellet. Its flattish terrain, typical of former paddyfield land, is lavishly decorated with flowers and shrubs.

** Lake View Princess Resort & Golf Club offers a 27- hole championship golf course designed by Roger Packard, a famous golf architect, as well as first-class accommodation and services.

**Mission Hills This multimillion dollar 18-hole par 72 course was designed by Jack Nicklaus, complete with his ubiquitous waste bunkers. Set on a shallow hill, sloping away from the big timberclad clubhouse, the wide fairways are decorated with thousands of mature palms, planted at huge expense by helicopter.

*Muang Ake Golf Course is well-known among local and international golfers. It has hosted
the Thailand Ladies open Championship and the Thailand Ladies Amateur Championship,
testifying the high standard as one of the country's best golf courses.

*Muang Ake Vista Golf Course An 18 hole, par-70 course is exclusively designed to make it an equal challenge both for skilled golfers and beginners. It is also possible to play square par or even go under for skilled players while beginners are cheerfully encouraged by its generous fairways.

*Muang Ake Wang Noi The 18-hole, world standard golf course is beautifully designed in
keeping with natural at different levels, challenging your skills and inviting you to play in a relax day.

**Natural Park Ramindra Golf Club Designed by the # 1 golfer of all - time, Jack Nicklaus. Here you can test your skills on the most challenging design in Bangkok.

***Pinehurst First stop on the 1992 European Tour (which for serveral years has traditionally opened in Asia), it has also been awarded the 1995 Thai Open. The 27 holes were designed
on former paddyfields by Yoshihara Alhara, theoretically in a different style for each nine.

*Navatanee Golf Course Thailand's first course to be designed by a foreign golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones Jr, Navatanee hosted the World Cup in 1975.

Panya Park Golf Resort Ronald Fream was also employed to design Panya's second Bangkok course. On a slightly sloping piece of land, he has made another of his park-like courses, although this one is not as posh as Panya Indra, and is therefore usually easier to get on. The huge clubhouse was completed in 1994.

Panya Indra Golf Club Lovely, colourful course by Ronald Fream, who seems to have a special affinity for Thailand's more exotic foliage. The park-type 27-hole course is so lavishly decorated it is almost like playing in an enormous garden. There are some lovely par three holes across water. The clubhouse is enormous and sumptuous.

Prime City Golf Club Another course that was designed by local golf architects. The course has a refreshing feel, but there is hardly a scrap of shade.

President country club Located on the outskirts of Bangkok, designed and constructed by Robert Trent Jones II, has already firmly established it self as one of the finest golfing challenges not only in Thailand, but in South East Asia.

Royal Lakeside Golf Club Cool and pleasant breezes off the bangpakong river keep golfers
refreshed and relaxed as they riseto the challenge of this 18 hole, par 72 course. After an excited round of golf, the ambiance and selected facilities at our luxurious clubhouse are fully furnished for particular relaxing.

Royal Thai Airforce Group Course Designed without the computers and hi-tech aids used by today's vastly expensive golf architects, the Thai armed services have succedded in producing some of the most agreeable and challenging courses in Thailand.

***Rose Garden Country Club Once voted by an international golf magazine among the best 20 resort courses in the world. It is always a delight to play, because the visitor is offered supremely excellent service.

**Springfield Jack Nicklaus's 18-hole par 72 design is in a wide valley adjoining a reservoir.
The pleasantly-rolling course is well-kept and unusually kind of the lesser golfer, when compared to the Golden Bear's other courses in Thailand.

**Thana City Golf and Country Club Designed by Greg Norman, who used plain grasses, reeds and lots of sand to crate the illusion of a seaside links right in the middle of one of Thailand's biggest housing developments.

*Watermill Golf & Gardens This attractive 18-hole par 72 course was designed by J.R. Keys and Associates. It is not too difficult though plenty of water was included in the design but wide fairways and greens are good for novices.

**Bangpoo Country Club Designed by Arnold Palmer, this open 18 hole par 72 course is often
made more difficult by fresh coastal winds.

*Bangkok Golf Club Designed by Chird Boonyaratanavej, who has used water intelligently to
create this magnificent 18-hole par 72 course.

Bangkok Royal Golf Club Designed by Jack Tuthill, who preserved a few stands of older trees, to give a small amount of shade It is not too tough a course for novices.

**Ekachai Golf and Country Club This 27-hole par 72/36 is quite flat, tight course, parts of it have more water than fairway. 18 out of 27 holes are floodlit for night golf.

Muang Kaew Golf Course The 18-hole par 72 course was intelligently designed to use an awkward shaped piece of land, and makes maximum use of the few natural features.

Northern Rangsit Golf Course This 18-hole par 72 golf course was Designed by local golf architects. It is not too demanding, but there is no shade on it yet.

**River Kwai Golf and Country Club This 27-hole par 72/36 golf course can only be reached by ferry. This stunning riverside course was designed by Art-anan Yomchinda, it is not a course for beginners.

Royal Ratchaburi Golf Club This pretty 18-hole par 72 golf course is quite hilly. There is a
delightful single-story club house, open to the breeze, and with friendly service.

**Subhapruek Golf Club A longish, open 18-hole par 72 course by Pete Dye with plenty of water and hundreds of palm trees along every fairway, it is one of the best and fairest of the new course along the highway.

The Vintage Club This 18-hole par 72 course was designed by Arthur Hills. It has a pool and other sports facilities, including a bowling green.

***Windmill Park Country Club Lift-sized windmills decorate the access to this 18-hole par 72 course which carries Nick Faldo's "signature". There is flood-lightning for night golf.

**Plutaluang Royal Thai Navy Golf Course This course is set in glorious rocky hill country. There are now two full 18 hole courses. Both are good exercise and fairly tough. The green fees are exceptional value and the clubhouse service is friendly. One of the loveliest natural courses in Thailand.

Sawang Resort Golf Club Built in low , spiky hills, the 27-hole course was designed by Isao Katsumata, who has created a very playable course in pretty surroundings. The surrounding land will eventually be occupied by the holiday homes of wealthy Thais, but current development is further up the road, giving the course a truly peaceful atmosphere.

Bangpakong Riverside Country Club In the shadow of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand's huge power station is a neat nine-hole course on flattish terrain which can be wet after heavy rain.

Bangpra International Golf Club This attractive 18-hole par 72 course controlled by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, meanders through picturesque jungle-clad hills.

SOUTH

**Pattaya Country Club The course is designed by Pro Golf Associates (Peter Rehn and McDonald Golf), to play comfortably for all classes of player. There is a modest, but adequate clubhouse.

*Khao Kheaw Country Club Surrounded by low hills, the long 27-hole course is often windy and hilly enough to tire out all but the fittest. Designed by Pete Dye

**Laem Chabang International Country Club In spectacular rolling hills with craggy peaks, the 27-hole course was designed by Jack Nicklaus. Some older golfers and novices may find it is
simply too much for them but good golfers love it.

Royal Lakeside Resort and Golf Club This is a stunning-looking 18-hole par 72 course with some holes running right along the river bank. There is also a marina, from which boat trips be organized.

*Noble Place Golf Resort and Country Club Quite a difficult course in low hills, designed by Peter Thomson and Dennis Wolveridge. It should be one of the least expensive of genuine golfers' course in the area for some time to come.

Natural Park Hill Golf Club The large clubhouse is on a mound overlooking a plain on which is built an immaculately manicured 27 - hole park-type course, richly decorated with flowering shrubs. It is fairly open and not too difficult.

* Natural Park Hill Golf Club is one of Ronald Fream's excellent courses, he preserved the old mangoes and coconut palms to create a pleasing course on slightly-sloping terrain with a backdrop of hills.

*Phoenix Golf & Country Club's 27-hole golf course was created by Dennis Griffith, an international-renowned golf course architect. Each of the ingeniously-designed greens provides a challenging yet enjoyable game on your weekend round in three spectacular setting.

*Thai Country Club Formerly a cheap and cheerful cow pasture, where the older hands of the
faring community spent many happy hours hacking balls round its character full layout, it is currently being completely rebuilt.

**Siam Country Club Golf Course First of the Pattaya courses, set in lovely country in the low hills behind Pattaya. Traditional site of the annual Can-Am Invitational, the 18 hole par 72 course has some superb holes - particularly the unique finishing four.

*Rayong Green Valley Country Club Built around a creek beside a rocky mountain, this course is a real pleasure to play. Designed by Thomson Wolveridge Associates.

***Sriracha International Golf Club Gary Player's contribution to Thai Golf is an 18-hole par 72 course in a lovely setting, over looked by a sizable mountain. With its lovely views it is a perfect holiday setting, and as good value as anywhere.

Asia Pattaya Hotel Although not a true test, a pleasant enough afternoon can be spent at this
rather tight par 27 course.

**Burapra Golf Club This new 36 holes golfcourse was designed by David Graham and Gary
Panks. It is hilly with 23 on-course lakes.

***Great Lake Two championship courses designed by Nick Faldo. This course is the first of Faldo's courses that is really built the way he wants it to be.

Green Way Village A layout of par twos and threes, plus a driving range, intended mainly as a
facility for residents. A good place to start before the real thing for beginners.

Hom Phu-Toey Golf Resort Set above the deep, meandering river, the short and fairly easy course is surrounded by jungle-clad hills. Designed by Chird Boonyarattanavej.

**Eastern Star Resort Country Club Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. With pleasant and not too challenging 18-hole par 72 coastal course.

*Soi Dao Highland This Denis Griffiths course is outstandingly beautiful, situated near the Cambodian border. The course is on a flat plateau surrounded by jungle covered mountains.

*Phuket Century Country Club Phuket Century Resort is both. A residence and vacation resort
featuring an 18 holes. Par 72 tournament golf course "Phuket Century Country Club"

*Banyan Tree Club As the central feature of the rapidly-developing Laguna resort, the 18-hole par 72 course was designed by Max Wexler. It often gets a pleasant breeze, but even then is not too bad demanding.

*Blue Canyon Country Club This course was the first stop of the European Tour of 1994. Running between old rubber plantations and lagoons created by tin miners. Designed by Yoshikazo Kato.

Chulaporn Camp Golf Course It's often rather dry in this part of Thailand, but you would feel usual friendly welcome from the military if you wish to play on their homegrown course.

Hat Surin (Phuket Golf Club) It's the oldest course on the island. It's fairly basic but a lot less expensive than the newer and more opulent playgournds. A good place for beginners to get their careers started.

Hat Yai Exclusive Golf Club It is the first championship course to be fuilt in the far south of Thailand. Designer, Robert McFarland has created a course with narowish fairways and a good deal of artificial water.

***Kaeng Krachan This 18 hole par 72 championship course was designed by three well-know architechts, Jack Niclaus, Greg Norman and Chird Boonyarattanavej. We think this allready speaks for itself about the quality of the course.

Khao Hong 9 hole par 36 golf course is the longest nine hole course in the country, with some beautiful old trees, several ponds and OBs on seven holes.

**Thai Muang Beach Resort One of Thailand's rare beachside courses, it is one of the first elements of what will become a major holiday development. Designed by Pete Dye.

Thong Yai This 9-hole par 36 is an agreeable old holiday course, with some quite challenging holes and nice views of the sea. The course is connected with a peaceful Samila Beach Hotel.

Thung Song Another of friendly army courses which act as oases for golf addicts all over Thailand.
Trang Another 9 hole par 36 course, one of two small courses in this little known area on the west coast of southern Thailand.

Vipawadee Rangsit This 9-hole par 36 golf coures is set in Surat Thani province, it's the only
golf course in the area.

Wachirawuth The 9 hole par 36 course is flat, running around and across the airstrip. The course is sponsored by the military. There are fishing villages nearby.
