U2's following in New York is growing so fast the three shows all sell out. The audience on the final night are largely unfamiliar with U2 and have come to check out the band. All day U2 had been recording a new song in the Kingdom sound studios on Long Island. As a consequence the group seem tired and barely manage to get the audience up from their seats. " This is far too late for everybody to be up..."says Bono disappointedly during the encore. The day after is again spent in the studio finishing the recording, but are not satisfied with the session and never release the track. |
