Helena Christensen was born in 1968, on Christmas day to a Danish father and a Peruvian mother. She grew up in Danemark, and her chilhood interests included music and photography. In 1986 she was selected Miss Denmark and competed in the Miss Universe pagent. She left her country for Paris and she was only eighteen years old. There, her career starts after shoots for Elle Magazine or Vogue. Recently Helena has been seen prominently on American television in ads for the lingerie company Victoria's Secret. In an interview she listed some of her interest including painting, photography and rock music. She also stated that "real life starts when I stop being a model" and described having a family as a future goal. But for now she remains a model much to the delight of fans around the world.
