Le troisième dimanche de chaque mois, il y a un concert de jazz et des cours de danse en plein air à Chijmes (M: City Hall). Le premier dimanche, c'est une soirée de salsa. C'est de 18h à 21h et c'est gratos!

Eldee Young Quartet & Lindy Hop Ensemble to perform at CHIJMES Jazz Series

The Eldee Young Quartet comes back strong to perform on Sunday, 18^th August 2002 for an intimate performance at Chijmes Fountain Court.  CHIJMES Jazz Series occurs every 3^rd Sunday of the month, showcasing a medley of talented musicians each concert from 6pm to 9pm. Kicking off this performance is The Lindy Hop Ensemble Singapore who will dazzle audiences with their fancy footwork and conduct a free dance workshop.

Founding member of Young-Holt Unlimited, Eldee Young is no stranger to the Singapore jazz scene. He has performed numerous times with his own band, The Eldee Young Quartet, as well as part of Monteiro Young & Holt. He was the original bassist of the Ramsey Lewis Trio, which won a Grammy for “The In Crowd” back in the 60’s. The combination of Eldee’s swinging bass, diverse vocal style, and magnetic personality charms and mesmerizes his audience. Featuring: Eldee Young (bass), Leo Fernandez (sax), Mei Sheum (piano), Regi Leo (guitar).

In addition, a half hour dance program entailing a Swing / Lindy Hop performance and workshop will be conducted by the Lindy Hop Ensemble Singapore to take place prior to the band performance.

Soak in the magnificent ambiance and enjoy the many restaurants at the fountain courtyard at CHIJMES. Simultaneously, ooze into the jazz swing with the captivating Eldee Young and his jedi team. Lots to experience, only at CHIJMES.
