Hi everyone!

I log on to postpone my studying and i get Eugene reminding me abt exams. Yup, my exams are approaching too. They're staggered so my first big on on Quantum Physics will be in 2 weeks time, followed by mechanics the following week, and so on. This week is also a holiday week for me but since I'd been falling sick quite often some weeks ago, I didn't make plans to go travelling this week, pity.

Last night, I had a dinner at the Ambassador's Residence at the occasion of the AGM of the S'pore Students' Association in France. Good home food, nice people. There's this lady from Contact Singapore who flies everywhere in Europe to get pple to come to S'pore and work. Ambassador's speech was on how we must all eventually go home because he needs somebody to pay for his retirement and his children's education. Also how we're not living in a good neighbourhood for the moment since the neighbouring countries aren't doing so well and we won't be able to continue for long like this....

Friday night, my first theatre piece in the red light district of Paris, Pigalle. Quite an eye-opener to be greeted by neon lights screaming Cinema SEX, peep shows, nudity guaranteed, when I came out from the metro station. But hey, the performance was a one-woman imitation of the stars in a respectable theatre, ok. Didn't quite understand the French stars she mimicked by name but she also did Madonna, Celine Dion and Monroe.
I actually forgot about daylight saving! We were supposed to turn back our clocks by 1 hour last night to account for the longer nights but I forgot! So I missed out on my extra hour of sleep. In fact, the nights are longer now so to "save energy", we gain one hour to be awake when it's bright.
There is a strong international community here and we're quite close. So I haven't got to know any French guy really well yet and so, I naturally don't have a French bf! (Most popular qn among my friends)

Okie, courage, everyone, have a nice day and ciao!
