Geography
- Archipelago of 115 islands in western Indian Ocean , northwest of
Madagascar.
- The biggest one is Mahe which is granite, like Praslin and La Digue.
The biggest atoll in the world is Aldabra.
- After Mahe , the most visited islands are Praslin, La Digue, Bird,
Fregate, Silhouette, and Desroches.

For hikers:
* Baie Ste Anne - Anse Marie-Louise
- Anse Consolation : quiet itnerary, desert beaches, but declivity 30%!
* Baie Ste Anne - Anse La Blague (also good slopes).
Bus traffic each hour (cheap).
Praslin est only place where grows "sea
coconut" a very strange coconut, named here"coco-fesse"
(butt coconut).
Many trees in "Vallee de Mai", a really nice park (100 scr).
