The Venue

The courses are held at 'La Pierre Qui Chante', an eight acre wooded estate situated between the hill villages of Fayence and St Paul en Foret. This area is set back from the coast in the foothills of the Alps, and is spectacularly beautiful and peaceful. Nearby are olive groves and vineyards and there is a backdrop of blue hills receding into the distance.

In spite of this peaceful setting there is plenty of life in adjacent villages, with an amalgam of modern retail developments and old-fashioned businesses that haven't changed for years. The surrounding hill villages all have markets abounding with fresh produce from local producers, making browsing there an unhurried delight.

La Pierre Qui Chante, - literally 'The stone that sings' is so called because of a stone which was found in the grounds during the restoration of the house. When the stone, now used as a table, is tapped with another stone, it makes a ringing sound.

There are plenty of things to occupy your leisure times during the course.
There is an outdoor swimming pool with jaccuzzi, table tennis and boule terrain.

The accommodation at La Pierre Qui Chante consists of three twin bedrooms sharing two bathrooms.Accommodation can also be arranged nearby if desired.
Being free from the hassle of daily travelling and chores also gives you valuable hours to relax and enjoy the stunning views, beautiful and peaceful grounds and surrounding countryside or take local walks and make the most of the wonderful Mediterranean climate. Students are free to use the large kidney shaped pool, table tennis and boules terrain.

The excellent food is also an added bonus and is a useful introduction to using different types of food to cater for food sensitivities. All meals are vegetarian, and whenever possible made with fresh local organic produce with consideration given to the nutritional needs of the students as we progress through the course. Bread is freshly baked daily using organic spelt flour stone ground on the premises, and we use our own or locally produced olive oil. Evening meals are served outside around the pool in warm weather and around a log fire in cooler weather, and are accompanied by the excellent local wines.
