  • M. Sorin Sonea was born in 1920 at Cluj in Romania. He studied at the Medecine Faculty of Bucarest where he obtained his B.S.  - 1944
  • At the end of the war, he was responsible of a campaign against infectious diseases  (1945 - 1946)

  • He carried out post-doctoral studies in Paris specializing himself in the contagious diseases and thereafter in medical microbiology
