Our Mission

The Movement of Solidarity Quebec-Romania (MSQR) is an apolitical non-profit organization. Its existence is due to the volunteer work of its members and to the generosity of various donators. It does not keep paid personnel. According to its charter, the MSQR has two principal objectives: provide a humanitarian and educational aid to the Romanian people; help the newly arrived Romanians to integrate into their new mother-country as rapidly as possible. The humanitarian aid consists mainly in sending medical equipment to hospitals, while the educational assistance consists in sending technical books and scientific documentation to several schools and universities in Romania. As about the Romanians who have recently come on the American continent, we give them free courses of English and French, assistance for lodging and all the information necessary for a better comprehension of the Canadian governmental, medical and educational system, we supply contacts for finding work and legal assistance as well as any other useful information on the life in Canada and Canadian values in general.
