Interview

At the outset can you summarize TROM's past ?
Classic rock formation (guitar, bass, drums, vocals). Out of 4 to make 1, wich is also 4. Iod-Hé-Vav-Hé. From there, to make music the better as possible, the past forms the bases of our future present. At the beginning there was a female singer and another bass-player. When a body is sick, sometimes a limb's ablation is the best way to strenghthen it. Or a vitamins shot, then the music evolves towards new spheres, and the past slowly fades away from our memory, as it became an useless and inauspicious bulkiness.

What's the TROM's state of mind ? Your philosophy, beliefs ?
TROM is a spirit which is in a great state, so its beliefs are multiples and nones. Only the duty to believe for daring to going on. Philosophy disparaging mystic which laughs by surpassing the lurid reason, it's a bridle to music, to feelings and to our thoughts destruction. And our beliefs depend of our knowledge. I don't believe what I know anymore, and I ain't know what I believe, but I believe in it.

What are your influences ?
Trees, gods, water, my feet, night's orgasm, celestial stench, the world's lines, our luminous body, the philosophet's stone, sundry states of non-ordinary reality, Italy, Liber Mud, abolished time, Satan, Râ-Hôr-Khuit, the light's moon, blue night, Michel Gaschen and blood-testing influence us very much. Also Trevor Dufoin, but some less.

Beyond the term mystic-core, how would you qualify TROM's music ?
Transmission of our vision of a boundless and hallucinated reality. Attempt to express the chaos order, to give a structure to our ravings. To us: reach transe through setting our lives in action. For the audience: bring the message that there's sensations spheres wich are too few explored, which fear prevents us too often to draw nearer. We half-open doors within the listener is invited to engulf himself in psychedelism mix of gothic in the spiritual meaning and not clothing one, punk for the social detachment attitude, metal, lunar sun and mystical ecstasy. Sweet violence.

Is TROM the vision of the mirror's other side ? I mean what is hidden behind TROM, wich is the contra-entry of the word "MORT" ? Does DEATH occupies an important place within TROM ?
There is nothing hidden behind TROM, in the mirror's otherside, being is uncovered and he can't elude neither his weaknesses nor his strenghts. He is beheld within the boundaries of his underhand dealings, useless and scandalous, his mundane or social pretence collapsefacing the relentless eye of his inner reality. The being is the being, and all his lies, intented to keep his usual world representation, his "safety" or his "welfare", his desire to get into good books or to show oneself off, obliterate, as they're nothing but infamous rags, slags of a pitifully sclerosed mind, dazed in front of the blinding brightness of his night. Death, as life regenerating wich it reinforce, is a door on other horizons, less human, nearer to angels and demons. It allows, used as an adviser, to eliminate the monstruous and stingy parasites wich blind our heads. Death is our muse, everlasting and final.

Let's talk about your Mcd "Balmor", who drew the artworks and what are their meaning ?
A friend of our is a peril souls painter. And his mind is as black as his skin. Amin. your meaning is the good one, images doesn't allow words.

Those artworks are very "anatomic", do you believe in a human being force and do you think we are master of our fate ?
The human being IS a force. And he can become master of his own destiny, in the exact boundaries fixed for him by the power of life. Will, patience and impeccability.

Can you give the meaning of each track of your Mcd ? (Or can all lyrics be perceived differently as maybe the readers ?)
No. Or rather yes, one simply has to listen the tracks. We don't like the clinic analysis. I don't think the meaning is bounded by the lyrics. Analysis, one has to get rid of them.

Your lyrics are very fond of occultism, very mystic. What are the ties existing between TROM and occultism ?
Occultism is a broader vision of life than the standard and reducing one, by laziness, boredom, arrogance or dread. True science is esoteric. There, where 1 and 1 make 3 or 1, life suddenly unveils in an unsuspected, terrifying as an elating light. Lyrics are deeply influenced by the science of occult, as I have adopted this way of seeing. TROM is occult.

How occured to you the idea to write and sing in several tongues ?
I sing in french because it's my native tongue and I handle it better, in english because it's more melodic and allows to be understood in the non-speaking countries, in latin 'cause this tongue is dead, and so gives an impression of out of time, in hebrew 'cause the cabalistic magic is the keeper of heaven and hell keys, in czech for we like this country and play often in, and in german for mixing hebrew and german makes me laugh. I like laughing indeed.

I let you the last words...
Near Truth is a provocation, it is there to disturb the sweet and dreary sleep of our inconscience.
