INTER MILAN        0-2            NAPOLI
for Napoli : Calderon(15'), Turrini(52')
If Inter lost this game, it comes form two causes : poor realism and bad defense. In the number and quality of actions, the game was very tied. But thanks to the napolitan goalie Pino Tagliatela, they could not sccore. On th napolitan side, Prunier did a great game defending, Calderon was very successfull, and two young players did a great game : Turrini who scored and made a lot of actions and Hassan Kachloul, the joker form Metz, who justified his presence in this team.

MILAN AC             2-0            JUVENTUS
for Milan : Leonardo(11'), Ba(82')
What a great game by Milan. They had almost thousands of actions and the torinian defense was heroical ! They only succeeded in scoring twice. And even Weah, the top-scorer of the league could not score. In the Juventus team, there seem to be an offensive problem and if Zidane and Del Piero were on the field, they were not really offensive and the problem is that they were the only ones. In the home team, Leonardo was wonderful and Davids was magnificient as gameleader.

FIORENTINA        1-1            SAMPDORIA
for Fiorentina : Batistuta(5')
for Sampdoria : Veron(69')
This game is a real hold-up ! Before this 69th minute, none of the genoans players had come in the florentian zone, then Veron did his great trick and scored. What a shame for Fiorentina who had done a great game through Batistuta and Kantchelskis mainly.

AS ROMA              2-1            PARMA
for Roma : Tommasi(52'), Di Biagio(62')
for Parma : Adailton(74')
I didn't like that game at all. All players seemed very agressive on the field, especially Crippa who gave a penalty kick to Di Biagio. Adailton scored his first goal, surely not the last since he is only 18. Tommasi was maybe the revelation of this game since he scored and was a great leader of his team.

LAZIO ROMA        1-5            BOLOGNA
for Lazio : Mancini(79')
for Bologna : Nervo(36', 65', 89'), Seno(52'), Shalimov(56')
Whaooh ! What a game ! Bologna took this game in the right hand and scored almost whenever they attempted to. Nervo was wonderful and he was not the only one. If so many players scored that means that in the bolognian team, there are many scorers and danger might come from everywhere. They can go very far in this league.
At the end of the game, Mancini reduced the score but Nervo had the devil in himself and scored again !

MARSEILLE            1-1                BORDEAUX
for Marseille : Becanovic(88')
for Bordeaux : Laslandes(27')
I still do not know how the referee did not see that Papin fell alone in the field and gave a penalty to Laslandes !
Then the game became very tied, Marseille offensive and Bordeaux playing counter-attack. But there had to be a justice and Becanovic scored just before the final whistle.

AUXERRE                2-4                NANTES
for Auxerre : Lepaul(33'), Marlet(73')
for Nantes : Gourvennec(31', 41'), NDiaye(68'), Ferri(94')
I still hear the audience shouting GOURVE-NEC !!! GOURVE-NEC !!! This player might be the best player in the fench league, but at least he was definitely the best on the field ! He was everywhere, passing, shooting, falling...In this game he even had the opportunity on his second penalty-kick to upper the score but failed it. Instead of trying to buy Edmundo for 200M maybe someone should try to buy Gourvennec, since he was wonderful today.

GUINGAMP              0-2                PARIS-SG
for Paris : Gava(39'), Loko(75')
This game was fooled by the early expulsion of Vanucchi. After that Gava was free from players and did whatever he wanted on his side. The guingampian audience was disappointed not to see their team win but at least Guillaume Bouisset was great in defending his side. This young player seems to have a wonderful future if he keeps playing like that.
The other news of this game is that finally Paris won a game by the right manner.

METZ                        3-0                LYON
for Metz : Meyrieu(7', 90'), Pires(83')
This score doesn't show how hard it was for Metz to win this game. But hopefully for them they had a wonderful midfield with Meyrieu and Pires and a great defender with Kastendeuch that the lyonnais attacker couldn't dribble. Metz has now taken the head of the league and does not want to lose it. They will go next week at Auxerre were Auxerre wants to take a revenge from Nantes. That will be explosive !

LENS                        2-2                MONACO
for Lens : Vairelles(29'), Ziani(94')
for Monaco : Henry(3'), Legwinsky(21')
Lens was lucky to come back with the point of the draw since Monaco should have won 6 times this game ! They had all actions, they were realistic at the beginning, they won at the 90' minute, but the referee did not seem to let them go back home with a win. And Ziani scored... My favourite team still has not won but he did a great but unlucky game and at least marked 1 point. Keep the faith !

Actuality of the League

Some players have signed in teams :
- Fohla came to Paris for 45 M.
- Gamboa to Auxerre for 35M.
- Dunga to Metz for 40M.
and some players might sign soon :
- Ravanelli and Bebeto to Monaco for 45M and 50M. This means that Monaco will be even more spectacular than before.
- Rotchen to Lens for 40M.
- Laudrup to Metz for 95M.
- Astrada to Fiorentina for 50M.
- Edmundo to Guingamp for 170M !!!

In signing to Paris, Fohla might add some creative skills to the parisian team. And Paris needs that : they only scored 3 goals in 3 games : 2nd poorest attack in this league.
Gamboa signed at Auxerre since it was the best offer, both financially and sportively. Because Auxerre was 2nd of its league before last game and they should have the opportunity to play european cups next year which will allwo Gamboa to progress as a defender.
On the other hand, Dunga does not have to progress. He is one of the best and strongest defender in the world. He is quite old and might quit soccer soon. But he decided to finish his carreer in Metz by winning his first french championship.
