I'm a computer science professor in the University of Toulouse (France) system and the mother of a two-year-old blind child, Agathe.I've begun a research project with some of my students, the idea being to develop computer games for young blind children. At present, I'm exploring existing games, whether computerized or not. We are trying to create a data base of all these games that develop the tactile quality that is needed to learn Braille. The idea is that there are a lot of games used by "normal" kids which encourage them to read while it appearsthat there are none for blind kids.
I would be very grateful for any information on this subject. Thanks in advance.PS: To join me...
