Those pictures are extracts from the short movie IS, cryogenic concession memory, filmed in super 8, in March 1998, remastered on Betacam by telecinema with sound mix. copy are in VHS, Pal. the duration of the film is 8'30''. Pretty soon it will be print on CD-Rom and on this web as well.

This short movie is experimental. It's about the melting process of my photographics iceblocks. It show the evolution of the pictures from the frozen photograph, completely kept inside the ice, inlay into the ice, to the total dissapearance of the pictures, completely melted and becoming fluide, dissolve into the water.

It's about all the paradoxal view of my work. It's about the last life of the photographic memory that we tryed to keep. It's after the cryogeny, when we want to see the pictures again, to get back the memory. Unfortunetly, by allowing us the right to see it in the correct and original form, which means out of the ice, then it's not anymore protected from time and it's extremely fragile. It destroy itself. It came back to its organic origin.
