Now, I'm working on a post-doctoral position to SPINTEC Laboratry in Grenoble.


I was a Ph.D. student at the Institut de Physique et Chimie des Matériaux de Strasbourg (IPCMS) and the 'Louis Pasteur' University from Strasbourg (ULP), France. My scientific supervisor is Dr. Kamel Ounadjela.

Research topics

My work is dedicated to the micromagnetic modelling (for the overview of experimental and theoretical micromagnetics see for exmple the book of A. Hubert, R. Schafer : Magnetic domanis Springer (1998) .

Here is the abstract of my thesis: Devellopement d'un code de calcul micromagnetique 2D et 3D: Application a des systemes reels de types films, plots et fils

The major goal of my thesis was to create specific numerical tools to investigate ferromagnetic systems. In this purpose two software codes have been created in order to analyze two (2D) and three (3D) dimensional ferromagnetic systems: thin films and patterned elements (submicron sized) such as dots, rings, wires, platelets, ....: Circular cobalt dots, Standard problem 4.
All the numerical simultations are performed close to the experimental data provided by the magnetic force microscopy (MFM) studies, the magneto-optical Kerr effect microscopy, SQUID ,...

The own micromagnetic code is adapted to study non-periodique and periodic systems ( like stripe structures in thin films with perpendicular magnetocrystallin anisotropy). The parallelized version of the micromagnetic code is also avalable (for a CRAY T3E machine).

Other areas of interest:

1. Elaboration of ultra referactory carbide materials by using oxygen-reduction-diffusion technique (ORD) (subject of the Master of Science, Solid State Physics thesis, supervisor prof. Jean-Claude Joubert, LMGP-INPG Grenoble, France in 1998)

2. Magnetic properties of the transition metals in rare-earth compounds (thesis banchelor of Science degree, Physics supervisor prof. Emil Burzo, UBB Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 1997)
